Why to Strengthen Your Abs to Gain Height
Muscles and ligaments that surround the spine are crucial for holding the spine in its correct posture and helping it in its movements. These core muscles play an important role in determining your height, posture and balance. They are primarily responsible for three functions: 1) Creating spinal curvature and maintaining it, 2) Resisting the gravitational force and pressing against the spine to straighten it, and 3) Supporting the spine at all times. If your core muscles are weak, your posture is greatly affected thus reducing your height or not maximizing it. You can increase height by improving your posture. Several core strengthening exercises like Pilates and yoga strengthen postural muscles and stretch the spine. Weak abdominal muscles, belly fat or a sedentary lifestyle cause excessive curvature of the spine, for example swayback. That is why it is important to strengthen your core and abs if you want to maximize your height.
