The Pre Cold Lawn Care TIps You Need Now
Before winter hits you want to make sure that your lawn is ready for the cold temperatures. Failure to get your lawn ready for winter can mean a dead or diseased lawn next spring. Nobody wants to have to bring their lawn back from the dead, so do what you can to prevent that from happening.
The first thing that you need to do is make sure to get rid of the leaves, even if this means raking the leaves up more than once. If you leave a pile of leaves on your lawn in the winter, sure, they are going to decompose but you will also be left with a huge bare spot. How this happens is the leaves act like a blanket and traps the water into your lawn so it simply destroys what is underneath. What about lawn striping kits?
Something else that you need to do to get your lawn ready for winter is to mow it to the proper length. You donĂ¢??t want to mow it as short as it will go because that can leave your lawn vulnerable to frost damage, which results in a dead lawn the next spring. Leaving your lawn too long can cause diseases, which a diseased lawn is just as bad as a dead lawn.
